CAPE’s leaders seem to believe union democracy is reserved for a select few. You’ve likely seen that CAPE is now requiring members to attend a mandatory meeting to vote on which impasse resolution process — arbitration or conciliation/strike — we’ll use in the upcoming bargaining round.
Let’s be clear: this is voter suppression.
Membres chez nous firmly opposes this plan. We believe that a group of policy analysts can learn about the issues on our own. We believe that ALL CAPE members should have the right to participate in all aspects of our union’s democracy.
If you agree, sign this petition to hold our leaders accountable.
